New York Congresswoman Velázquez has drafted a bill to bring the long sought Silver Scholarships to older volunteers.  Silver Scholarships are transferable education awards.  As it currently stands in this draft bill, any older volunteer who serves 600 or more service hours in a twelve month period may be nominated for a transferable educational awards of up to $1000.
